I translated it
"At the moment we're finishing our new NEGATIVE-album which will be out in spring 2010. Album has been named and it will go by the name NEON. First sample from Neon can be heard from a single which will be released in January 2010, a music video will also be made for the song.
The record has been recorded at the legendary Broken Wave -studio in Los Angeles, where artists like Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, and Korn have worked during the last years.
Right now I'm supposed to sing one more song for the record. As a matter of fact we dismissed that song by democracy when the recordings started, but lately our producer digged the bases for the song back in the daylight and we realized that the song suits the record as a whole. At the moment I can't talk about the song by it's name, 'cause I don't know what it'll be called on the record either.
At this point of recording the so called biggest brainstorm has passed, 'cause we no longer have to think about how each of us should play on the record. While mixing we just choose what will be left on the record from all the already played instruments, and find the right tones, direction and the final "frame" for the record. The final touch will be given in the last phase before the compiling of the album: The mastering. Shortly put: If you've ever thought about why all songs play on the same volume in the radio, the answer is partly mastering.
But we won't go ahead of things anymore.
First song ideas, melodies and phrases that would finally form this record were made a year and a half ago. With them are few even older songs, but naturally they got their final form in our hands while we trained them for a month and in the studio under the eye of our producer Jimmy Westerlund. The songs have been written with a lot of time and effort.
So the recordings started in September 2009 and continued through fall and by the end of the year I'd say the work is mostly done... For a while. When the record is ready we'll start working the exterior of the album, the covers, with our graphic designer. Right now I can only say about the covers, that they'll have some visually eye-stimulating atmosphere.
Musically the record will be melody-rich and whole couplet pearl necklace. Time flies, and with the clock closing two in the afternoon i'ts time to make morning tea and head to the studio to record a children's choir.

Thank you so much for translating this!
I've been dying to hear the whole album after the taste of it Krissy and I heard. I also can't wait for everyone else to hear it. I want to be able to say how awesome it is with the rest of you. Neon does fit in an odd way to the ambience in the studio with all the neon signs. |

I don't know how well the name fits them as a BAND, because it's a strong word, but... I understand using this for the naming of the album. They were very, very, very inspired by those neon signs... their studio room was covered in them and it created a really cool atmosphere of color and light and shadows. Which actually does fit them really well.

Yeah, that is how it comes across but I don't think that's how they meant it AT ALL...
Which is why I'm waiting to decide until I hear the finished album and see what their vision for the album cover and all that stuff is like... I am sure it will all come together. I remember how much I hated the name "Anorectic" at the beginning It seems funny now...
